Factua Managed Service is a fully managed factsheet
production service, enabling you to outsource the IT component of the
solution, whilst retaining control over data and layout.
Managed Service Features
Fully Managed
The fully managed service is hosted at a secure data centre and accessed
via web browser. There is no software or hardware to pay for - just
a fixed monthly fee.
Data Security
The managed service runs on hardened servers hosted at a secure data
centre. The web application is protected via an encrypted login. Once logged
in you can generate and download factsheets.
Common Features
Automatic Factsheet Generation
Hundreds of factsheets can be generated on a regular basis
with virtually no manual effort, dramatically reducing timescales and costs.
Template Documents
The layout of factsheets is controlled by templates,
giving full control over appearance, whilst ensuring consistency.
Templates are edited using familiar Microsoft Office applications
like Word and Excel.
Automatic Chart Generation
Factua includes Excel's charting functionality, allowing automatic generation
of fund performance charts and graphs. As performance and asset allocation
data changes, the charts are automatically updated within the factsheets.
Multiple Output Formats
Factua can create factsheets in many formats:
- PDF files for downloading from web sites and high quality printing
- Excel spreadsheets for internal use or for onward distribution
- Web pages (HTML) for extranet, intranet or Internet
- XML files for interchange with other applications
- PowerPoint presentations for sales presentations to clients
- Custom formats, to suit an individual client's needs and requirements.
High Quality Print
Factua automatically produces print-ready output that can be sent
directly to the printer for professional, high quality printing.
Data Import and Consistency Checking
If factsheet data is available in a database, spreadsheet or third party application
like Lipper Hindsight, it can be automatically imported, then checked
for consistency before any factsheets
are generated. This saves time and reduces the risk of factsheet
data errors during the production process. If an omission or error
is found in
the data, it can be entered and re-checked using the web interface.
Simple User Interface
Factua provides a simple web based interface to control the production cycle.
Data can be imported from Excel, XML and CSV files or entered directly
into the web interface. Each piece of data is only entered once - no matter how many factsheets
use that piece of data.
Multi-Lingual Factsheets
 Factua can produce factsheets
in any European language by storing translations of all textual data, and automatically formatting
numeric data and dates for different countries.
